Overview

StockCharts.com provides end-of-day (EOD) data for select futures contracts traded through the IntercontinentalExchange (ICE). These include Brent Crude, Coffee and the US Dollar Index. Continuous contract prices are also available for select commodities traded through the ICE. Users will see the words “continuous contract” in the name for these symbols. Continuous contracts can be used to create long-term charts for a specific commodity.

Characteristics

Symbols for the futures contracts consist of several different parts. The first character is a caret (^), which is reserved for futures contracts. The next character or characters represent the name of the futures contract. For example, the “DX” in the symbol ^DXM13 stands for the US Dollar Index and the “B” in ^BH14 stands for Brent Crude.

The next three characters represent the month and the year of the contract. The last two numbers identify the year, while the letter identifies the month. ^BH14 is the symbol for the March 2014 Brent Crude contract. Below is a list of the corresponding months and letters.
